Want to break through on TikTok and send your views through the roof? Content, tone, originality: it all counts. But there's one thing plenty of people forget, the right moment to post. Timing can make all the difference. YOO reveals the best days and hours to post on TikTok in 2025.
The best times to post on TikTok
The best hour to post
Depending on the days and hours you pick, you can improve your chances of landing on the For You Page. On weekdays, it's best to post in the morning before 10am and in the evening after 8pm. It makes sense: TikTok is an entertainment platform, and during the day people are at school or at work.
At the weekend, the timing is a little more flexible:
- On Saturday, go for the morning or the evening. Avoid the afternoon, which is usually when people go out, play sport or do other activities.
- On Sunday, you can post at any time of day. The best windows are still 6 to 10am and 7 to 11pm: people tend to open the app when they wake up or before going to sleep.
If you're targeting an international audience, remember to adapt your posts to the time zones of the countries you're aiming at.
The best days to post
It's even more effective to combine the right days with the right hours. Ideally, post when your audience has the most time.
Favour:
- Weekends,
- Public holidays.
Those are moments when people have more free time and are more inclined to consume content.
How often should you post?
TikTok's algorithm works differently from other platforms: videos don't appear in a strict chronological order and don't depend solely on who you follow.
When you're starting out, show that you're consistent. Post at least one video a day, then build up to 1 to 3 videos a day if you can. That maximises your chances of reaching more people. Be careful not to overdo it, though: quality still comes first.
The worst times to post
There are also moments to avoid. Don't post when people are usually busy, for example:
- In the middle of a weekday, when people are in class or at work.
- Wednesday afternoon and Saturday afternoon, often given over to offline activities like sport or going out.
