YOO x TikTok: Creation is Strategy
Sommaire

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive content creator conference at our Olyn Group offices. Organized in collaboration with TikTok and featuring Nisanton Delcy, Agency Partner Manager of the platform, this event was part of a strong commitment to support creative talents in growing their presence on TikTok. It was a friendly gathering over snacks, where participants discussed the future of creators, monetization, mental health, and the secrets of the TikTok algorithm.

The future of creators on TikTok

This masterclass was designed to offer creators concrete keys to exploit the full potential of the platform in the creation of UGC content. Indeed, today, creating content on TikTok is a real strategy. However, ultra-produced or too “pro” content is no longer what attracts the most.

People want real things. Spontaneity. Emotions. In other words, videos that look like them.

What we learned from this conference:

  • La content creation has become a strategy in its own right.
  • What works? The naturalness And the vicinity.
  • The audience wants see people, not brands.

So on TikTok, It is not perfection that works, but personality that works. If your video is spontaneous and sincere it is often the one that will be a hit.

Monetization & TikTok Live

Creation is good. But living from your creation is even better.

TikTok is developing more and more tools to monetize its content: TikTok Live, TikTok Shop, collaborations with brands via UGC...

Some tips shared during the conference:

  • Try TikTok Live : it is a powerful tool for engaging your community and generating revenue. Discover our article on How to do a TikTok live.
  • Be strategic in your formats : a video that works today may not work in two months. Trends change quickly, which is why it is important to surf TikTok trends at the right time.
  • Remain yourself even in a collab : brands are looking for designers who embody their universe without betraying their authenticity.

Mental health on the platform

Being a creator is a real job. And sometimes it's also exhausting.

Between the views that are increasing (or not), the algorithms that are changing and the pressure to post regularly, The mental health of creators is an essential subject.

Nisanton Delcy recalled: “It's frustrating to see a video you've spent hours watching fewer views than a video shot in a hurry... but it's often the one where you are the most yourself that touches people.”

In fact, be proud of your authenticity. Even if a video does not “perform”, it will have brought you closer to your community. And that is the real victory.

The secrets of the TikTok algorithm

Ah, the TikTok algorithm... this big mystery! And during the conference, we had some valuable insights on this subject.

What you need to remember:

  • Avoid mounting everything on CapCut. Indeed, the algorithm favors videos that are edited directly on the platform.
  • Use 1 to 2 hashtags maximum : beyond that, the effect can be counterproductive.
  • Post regularly and at optimal times. Indeed, the time at which you post on TikTok can change everything. To do this, discover our article to find out What is the best time to post on TikTok. In addition, the most important thing to gain TikTok subscribers organically is to publish regularly (1 to 3 videos/day at the beginning).

Beyond the interventions, the wealth of discussions and feedback has nourished an atmosphere of sharing, listening and collaboration, values essential to the creative universe that we want to encourage on our YOO platform.
